The Lovely Bones (novel by Alice Sebold and movie directed by Peter Jackson) describes the fictional incident of a young girl that is murdered, and her struggle to maintain a portal to the mortal world to contact her family, while also finding within herself, the acceptance to move forward with her immortal life in heaven.

People try to imagine what it might be like to leave this Earth, and soon they slowly come spiraling back down from their mountain of clouds, and realize that is incomprehensible to imagine such an event.

Due to this inability to fully grasp the meaning of the after life, people have begun to have different perspectives on what heaven means to them.

Some fear death, while others invite it into their lives either out of curiosity or hope.

As for Susie Salmon, she neither feared death nor encouraged it.There always seems to be something extremely upsetting when we hear about the murder of a child.When we hear about tragedies of this nature through news or television shows, one can only imagine the pain and grief the family is going through.His dad taught him about everything about buildings, Since his dad worked in the desert building broken shacks of glass and old wood. Now towards the end of the book he remembers them one by one,except for susie. He talks to them in a sweet and kind voice and then kills them. He took a knife and cut of her hand and her legs and covered her in a body bag and told his friend to throw it away.
